Live Music
It might be December, but in the Lowcountry, it’s still “listen-to-live-music-outside" weather ... and we love it. Chilly nights, cold drinks, and the sound of guitars cutting through the crisp air.
Bundle up for this original live music series held weekly at the outdoor stage at Sewee Outpost.
When: Dec. 3, 10, 17, 26, 31.
Check out original acts like Folly Beats, The Podunk Ramblers, Too Crows for Comfort, the Hopeaholics, and more! Music starts at 5:50 p.m. The last band takes the stage at 9:10 p.m.

This plunge into the Atlantic Ocean starts at 2 p.m. and benefits the Special Olympics. Come early for food and drinks at Dunleavy’s Pub! Costumes encouraged!
Sun Protection Tips for December (Yes, You Still Need It)
The sun doesn't take holidays (or seasons) off. Even in December, UV rays are out here acting like it’s July.
- Water = instant sun amplifier.
Headed out fishing? The reflection off the water is basically nature’s flashlight aimed directly at your face. Wear the UPF shirt.
- High elevation is a whole different beast.
The higher you go, the less atmosphere between you and the sun. Wear a UPF shirt so you don’t fry.
- Wear a UPF Long Sleeve (seriously)!
If you can wear a jacket to hide from the cold, you can wear a sun shirt to hide from UV. Wisdom!
